For transparently extending a T3/DS3 TDM bidirectional circuit over an intermediate Ethernet layer 2 packet switched network or virtual circuit. Typically for cellular traffic or extension of a DS3/E3 connection. Allows configurable buffer depth to minimize latency or absorb maximum PSN jitter.

Either the 100Base-TX or SFP transceiver LAN port may be used for optical or copper data and in-band or out-of-band management.
